Arts and Crafts at Iroquois!

July 29 - 31, 2011

A new festival treat for music and art lovers!  It's all happening at Iroquois Park in Louisville, Ky.  Kentucky Music Weekend will include concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings;  open stage, workshops, and dulcimer competitions all day Saturday, and jamming under the trees!  Coinciding with Kentucky Music Weekend will be the Arts and Crafts at Iroquois show!

I hope to see some of my primitive artisan friends showing at this festival!

Video Fun

I have been playing around with using videos in my auction listings and wonder if others do this?  I think it might be good as long as it doesn't look like a TV commercial.  What do you think?

My Bunny Swapped!

I received my bunny today from Dina and he is adorable.  Here he is, sitting with his new somebunny, Harriet!

Harry and Harriet Hare

Harriet is made by me from the same pattern as Hazel but without the changes in the legs.  She is also a little bit smaller.
Since they met in the bunny swap, does that make her a mail-order bride?

Harry was handmade by Dina Barattiero Bastian from Ruskin, FL.   She did  a wonderfully prim job!  He smells absolutely scrumptious, but he'll never be on a menu!

It's an honor....!

It was great news today from a blog group that I joined just a couple of weeks ago!  It is called "Artisans Creating Outside the Lines" and that is just what I think primitive art is, outside the lines of what people consider when they think of crafting.  I was featured on the blog site today along with two other artisans and I feel honored to be among them!  I have been considering myself more of an "artisan" for the past couple of years, rather than a "crafter", because I have been breaking away into designing my own patterns, trying to be original and not mass creating something that hundreds of other people are doing.  I am honored to be a part of this fine group.
