Over on Pigeon

What a week can bring~ We had a nasty ice storm on Tuesday of the past week and we are now beginning to thaw! We were very lucky this time! In September, we lost power for 8 days after Hurricane Ike blew through but we did not lose power during this one. Many in our city had no power and the last of the lights were turned on today. We did lose cable and internet for a week and there were several limbs lost from our trees.



.....We spent last weekend at Spring Mill State Park at the Corydon (IN) Dulcimer Society's Winter Retreat. There was lots of music and lots of fun as we took a class, jammed, and jammed some more!
This was the first class I have had with Tull Glazner and I enjoyed it very much. I was able to place some of his concepts into practice during jam time on Saturday night. These weekends make winter much more bearable! You can go in of Friday and not come outside until Sunday afternoon, if you want to! There is always something to do! Only wish we could afford to do more of them!



We are looking forward to the Ohio
Valley Gathering, which is the last weekend in March, in Lexington, KY at the Dowtown Hotel and Convention Center! Need more info, look here!
